Kids Depot Childcare, a State Licensed facility, is a community of professional teachers and support staff. We are dedicated to nurturing the spirit of the young children in our care and providing them and their families with a loving, safe, educational, and Christian environment. Through teaching them the goodness of God and God's love for each individual, we encourage them to be kind and considerate, and stewards of God's creation. The center is a Christian-oriented, non-denominational, outreach of Calvary Gospel Church.
Kids Depot's purpose is to provide a half-day or a full-day program, which will help children:
At the same time, the program strives to meet the needs of families by:
Kids Depot is currently using Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies Gold as our curriculum and assessment tool. We also stress Christian principles and values.
A developmentally appropriate program schedule is planned to provide a flexible balance of active and quiet play, individual and group activities and indoor and outdoor activities with a separate play area for children under the age of two.
The main purpose of the child guidance policy is to encourage each child to grow and develop as a social being and to achieve a secure environment in which the child and staff can interact. The welfare and safety of all children at the center is always an important consideration.
Parents are welcome to visit at any time. Kids Depot has an open door policy. Parents are also invited along on field trips, and to eat lunch with their child’s class.
Kids Depot is open from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Closed on weekends and Holidays.
Kids Depot serves children age 6 weeks through age 5 during the school year and through age 10 during the summer. The center is licensed for 75 children.
Before we had Cora, I could never have imagined the intense love a child could bring to one's life. After having Cora, I could never imagine trusting someone to love and care for Cora the way we do. Then, we had the fortune of joining the Kids Depot family. This amazing team of caretakers watched over our child the same way we would. They showed her love without being overbearing, structure without crushing her spirit, kept her safe while still letting her explore, and encouraged creativity and curiosity, allowing her to grow into such a smart and engaged little girl. After almost 2 years, we left our Kids Depot family for our move and I wouldn't have done it if there was any way around it. We could not be more thankful to the people and staff at Kids Depot and hope nothing but the best for them moving forward.Nicole & Josh Knackert
We have been attending Kids Depot Child Care Center for over 5 years now, starting with my oldest child and now my youngest attends. We love the center and all the staff! I love knowing that when I drop my child off in the morning, he has a place that is engaging him, teaching him and loving him just as much as if he were home with me. My oldest child is now in the "school-age" summer camp and looks forward to it every year. She loves the fun activities they do and the field trips they take. The staff has been nothing but wonderful from the directors and teachers to the kitchen staff. They welcome every child through the doors every morning and are genuinely happy to see them. It warms my heart to see how much my children love the teachers and miss them when they don't see them, which to me, is a true testament to how wonderful they are with my children. I cannot say enough good things about Kids Depot, we absolutely just love itBreanne Eoff
What drew us to tour Kids Depot at first was their homemade baby food, community garden, and curriculum plan -- and it certainly didn’t hurt that they are also priced the best. But, what I will never forget is the atmosphere from the moment we first walked in the door. Kids Depot felt different than any of the dozens of other places we had toured. It was clear that everyone there was one big family and cared for the kids as if they were their own. As the years have passed, the thing that continues to amaze me is the partnership we have with everyone there. All of the major transitions (introducing solids, going down to one nap, potty training, pacifier weaning), were done together in partnership with us. Not only does this give us a wonderful and comfortable consistency between home and daycare, but it also means that I have an entire community of people I can draw from for support, wisdom, and strength. From the amazing curriculum plans, gentle parenting approach, and focus on empathy and emotional development – we couldn’t ask for a better community for our family to be a part of.Erin Lavery
We love the teachers at Kids Depot! They are patient, warm, and fun. Our daughter loves her caregivers, giving us peace of mind and making drop-offs an easy part of our morning routine. I appreciate the communication and attention to detail with care provided – I know all about my daughter’s day and the teachers are open with me about how she’s doing. I feel involved and informed. I’m very impressed with the activities and learning that happens at Kids Depot. Art, music, physical development, literacy, and outdoor exploration are incorporated at every age. In the infant room, our daughter learned basic signs to communicate her needs, and learned basic eating manners in her high chair. In her new toddler room, she’s quickly making friends of her classmates, learning to share and play nicely with others. I love the art she brings home. I feel like as a result of the care provided at Kids Depot, my daughter is happy, healthy, safe, and learning how to be a good friend.Amy Mathison
Our daughter is 5 years old and has been at Kid's Depot since she was 3 months old. During our first meeting with their staff we were made to feel comfortable and were immediately set at ease knowing our daughter would be in good hands. It is never easy leaving your child in the care of someone else, but Kid's Depot alleviated all of worries and concerns. Our daughter has learned so much at Kid's Depot over the past 5 years and she has made a lot of friends. I know she will miss Kid's Depot when she goes off to kindergarten this fall. I highly recommend Kid's Depot to anyone looking for exceptional childcare in a fun, loving, and learning environment.Carini Family
Kids depot is a second family. All of the staff are wonderful and greet you with a smile. Every day when I drop my son off I know he is in good hands and truly loved by his teachers.Linsdey Osburn (Teacher & Customer)
It's nice to know that our son is being taken care of and loved while we are at work. It gives me a sense of relief at work knowing I don't have to be worried about him because the staff really cares about the well-being of our son.Rob Osburn
